The Arboretum has been creating community in nature for almost four decades. We depend on the generosity of our nearly 1200 members and the dedicated efforts of hundreds of volunteers to sustain the outdoor education programs, public facilities, and events that have made the Arboretum so important to our community. We hope you’ll join us.
Back in the 1970s, a group of visionary citizens looked at what was then an abandoned farm, choked with blackberries, and saw the natural beauty and amazing potential of this special place. Decades of hard work by volunteers and financial support from members have created the Arboretum we now know and love.
Mount Pisgah Arboretum receives no tax dollars and charges no entrance fee.
