Where is the summit?
The summit is located on the Mount Pisgah map with a neon green dot. It is at the convergence of Trail 1 and Trail 6.

What is the elevation change from the parking area at MPA to the summit?
From the MPA parking lot (using Trail 1 to reach the summit) the elevation change is 1050′ feet.

Are dogs allowed on the Trails in MPA??
Yes, dogs are allowed in the park, but they must be kept on a leash while visiting the Arboretum. This policy is strictly enforced by MPA.

Are horses allowed in MPA?
No, horses are not allowed at Mount Pisgah Arboretum, however Howard Buford Park does allow horses to use certain trails. (On the above Mount Pisgah trailmap equine trails are blue, while non-equine trails are red.)
